Opening our doors to the Manchester United Foundation

We welcomed the next generation of construction workers by inviting Manchester United Foundation construction trainees on a ‘behind the scenes’ tour earlier this month.

The group of learners followed the full journey of our off-site production as part of their studies, which included a tour of our manufacturing factory followed by a visit to our live construction site in Salford.

As one of the largest and most experienced sub-contractors in our field, we’re always proud to showcase our manufacturing plant, which is the hub of our off-site framing division fabricating panels for main contractors and developers on sites across the UK. We’re one of only a handful of companies in the UK with the skills and capability to deliver pre-panelised structural framing systems (SFS) and light gauge steel frames (LGSF) and we pre-fabricate the panels in a controlled and stable production environment to ensure the best possible quality.

An initial welcome presentation in the boardroom provided an introduction to company, and the people who make it tick. The group then moved onto the factory floor which followed the journey of our technical processes – from design, fabrication and supply of our panels. Next stop was the marketing suite which is an area specifically set up for our prototypes and samples. The day culminated in a site visit to one of our housing schemes to see a live development in full progress.

We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Manchester United Foundation to provide the opportunity for learners to see the industry first-hand and we wish the group the very best for their continuing studies.
