Meet the team… Jimmy Hartnett

This month, we’re speaking to our Estimator Jimmy Hartnett.

What was your first day at MBS like? I was a bit nervous but everyone was really friendly and welcoming. It also helped that my manager Ian also started that week – nice to not be the only ”new guy”!

Why did you want to join the company? It was time for a change – life at home had changed and I was looking to join a company who value work/life balance. When I heard about the role at MBS it was just what I was looking for. I discussed the role in depth with Mike at my interview and knew I really wanted to join the team.

Fish 'n' chips or Sunday roast? Chippy (on the beach).

What’s your favourite hobby? Music. I play a few instruments.

Are you a red or a blue? Neither. Preston North End fan. Third in the league….(as it stands).

What makes you smile? My 9 month old daughter Ida - as long as it’s not 3AM.

Describe your perfect Saturday. Full English (as long as I’m not cooking), then a walk on the beach with the dogs. Watch the football / live scores. Then food out followed by a few ales - Beavertown or equivalent will do!
